Pittsburgh Bike Hash (Bash)

The Pittsburgh Bike Hash, or Bash, was founded in 1997 by Chris “Weekend Gynecologist” Cosby and Jim “Moon” Martin.

The Pittsburgh Bicycle Hash (a.k.a. Bash) is an offshoot of the Hash House Harriers — a group where we ride bikes and enjoy beer. This is probably not your everyday cycling club! All are welcome — over 21 is probably best. Open minds are even better!

The Pittsburgh Bash schedules monthly-ish, non-competitive bike rides around the metropolitan area.

What to Expect

Most trails are formatted as a hound and hare event with checkpoints and possible false trails. Hybrid, city, and mountain bikes are usually suitable — skinny tires should check with the hares. Trails are a mix of streets, bike routes, and the occasional hill. It’s Pittsburgh after all.

Helmets and a well-maintained bike are strongly suggested.

Trail information is available on the Hash Calendar and on the Pittsburgh Bike Hash Facebook page.

Questions or want to hare a trail? Contact the GMs — Crackfiller or Moon — via email at PGHH3.GMs@gmail.com.

As with all Pittsburgh Hashes, participants should follow our Code of Conduct.
